Wake-Up Call
As I scroll through Facebook, I see so many statuses that just make me sick:
- “I miss you. Come back. :( “
- “Why can’t you see I love you?”
- “If only you knew how I felt… Smh.”
There are people in the world who will test you in all walks of life. They test your sense of humor, your patience, your level of trust, etc. There’s another archetype out there, a fickle one; a person designed to test your independence. And based off these statuses, not many people know how to deal with these people! Read carefully:
- Stop with the statuses.
- Take a step back, read through them.
- Realize you look pathetic.
Instead of whining about the same person for weeks on end, take a shower, put on a nice outfit and go out with friends! Coincidentally, a great deal of the people who make these updates don’t know where they want to go to college, what they want to become professionally and have little, to no, hobbies. Perhaps a reason you’re single is you’re boring. You’re a teenager. Life has barely started for you and you’re acting as if the world is ending, or worse, you’re re-experience the cancelation of Ugly Betty.
The next time the guy/girl of your dreams a relationship ends, don’t say, “I really liked them!” Try, “I liked them… But I love me.” Life is far from perfect and things don’t always end how we want them.
Sometimes, you have to stop looking for the perfect outfit and accessorize what you got.
